Ice fishing 2013
Every year in winter anglers from neighborhood come to Liepaja to take their chance to get some smelt. Smelt is a kind of fish, that inhabits the seas of the northern parts of Europe and in winter it has the spawning season. It goes for spawning to the freshwater trough the channel to Liepaja lake. This is spectacular event - crowd of people get on the ice, while frost and seat there night and day for fishing. I've got the opportunity to get some pictures of the event this year as well.
